This policy explains what information Generate Current Electric collects through this website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We are a licensed electrical contractor (CA License #1147139) operating in Southern California. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Generate Current Electric.

Information you give us

When you submit a quote request through this site, we collect what you type into the form:

• Your first and last name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The service you're inquiring about, and any subject line or description you provide

We ask for these because we need them to contact you and prepare an accurate estimate. We do not ask for payment details, Social Security numbers, or any government identification through this website.

Information collected automatically

Along with your form submission, we record the date and time you submitted it and the page address you submitted it from. This tells us which page generated the request so we can respond in context.

Our hosting provider also records standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of delivering and securing the site.

Cookies and advertising

We advertise on Google. This site uses the Google tag, which sets cookies that help us measure whether our ads lead to quote requests and how our advertising performs. This may also allow Google to show you our ads on other sites you visit.

You can control this. Google's own tools let you opt out or adjust what you see:

• Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Your browser's own settings, which can block or delete cookies

Blocking these cookies does not prevent you from using the site or submitting a quote request.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and manage inquiries. They receive your information only to perform work for us:

• Netlify — hosts this website and receives form submissions
• Google — provides advertising measurement, and stores our lead records in Google Workspace

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our property, or someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and job records for as long as we need them for business and tax purposes, and as long as the law requires. If you'd like your inquiry deleted sooner, contact us and we'll take care of it.

Your California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to:

• Know what personal information we've collected about you and how we've used it
• Request that we delete personal information we collected from you
• Request that we correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging electrical work. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions are transmitted securely. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we limit who can access inquiry records to the people who need them to do the work.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
