Accessibility
Statement
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Generate Current Electric is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboards, screen magnifiers, or other assistive technology. We think a homeowner should be able to request an estimate from us regardless of how they use the web.
The standard we aim for
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted benchmark for making web content accessible, and they inform how we build and review this site.
What we've done
Specific measures taken on this site:
- Every form field has a real, visible label that is programmatically tied to its input, so screen readers announce what each field is for
- Form errors are announced through a live region, not shown by color alone, and each error message names the field and what to fix
- All interactive elements have a visible focus indicator, so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page
- The entire quote form can be completed and submitted using only a keyboard
- Text and background color combinations were checked against WCAG contrast ratios, and body text meets the AA threshold
- Headings follow a logical order, so assistive technology can navigate page structure
- Text resizes without breaking the layout, and the site works on small screens
- Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology so they don't add noise
Known limitations
We want to be straightforward rather than claim more than we can support:
- Portions of the site rely on JavaScript to display content. If scripts are disabled, some sections will not appear. The phone number in the page header and footer remains available as a direct way to reach us.
- We have not yet completed a full third-party accessibility audit of every page. Our review to date has been internal.
- Some content may originate from third-party services whose accessibility we do not directly control.
We treat these as work in progress, not as settled limitations.
If something isn't working for you
If you run into an accessibility barrier on this site — or if you'd simply rather arrange service another way — contact us directly and we'll help you personally and make the fix:

Please tell us the page you were on and what happened. We aim to respond within three business days. You will never need to use this website to get an estimate from us — a phone call works just as well.
Note for Generate Current Electric: the measures listed above are accurate for the quote form and these information pages. Before claiming full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance sitewide, have the homepage audited — and name a specific person as the accessibility contact if you want to strengthen this statement.
